My Cinema Clinic: The Menopause
A cinema event on the menopause for a targeted audience in 150 cinemas in the UK on International Women’s Day Sunday 8th March 2026.
Share your unique menopause story and build a community where you live.

This project is free from commercial sponsors and branding which is why we need private donations to cover the cost of making the film and put a team of community outreach coordinators together to set up the panels. These coordinators will be representatives of the communities they will be reaching out to. We are hoping to link with all the main charities and other partners to reach out to as many people as possible.

There are over 13 million women in perimenopause and menopause in the UK and only 12 menopause clinics and minimal NHS provision to address the needs of women who are going through this phase of life.
BAFTA award-winning documentary director Lily Murray and film producer and distributor Isabelle Fauchet (both menopausal women!) join forces to produce a 60’ documentary on the menopause which will give women the latest international research and information from experts on what is available to help them thrive and empower them to make their own choices.
The film will be shown as part of an event to be distributed in 150 cinemas in the UK for International Women’s Day on Sunday 8th March 2026. Selected screenings will be accompanied by a carefully chosen panel including a GP or health practitioner and nutritionist relevant to each cinema’s local audience.
Our main contributor and medical consultant will be Dr Zoe Schaedel, NHS GP with 17 year’s experience in menopause care, sleep problems, sexual health and contraception. She is an accredited British Menopause Society (BMS) Menopause Specialist and is a member of the BMS Medical Advisory Council.
Open to all women (and men), the film will also tell stories from underrepresented communities that are either geographically isolated or from under-privileged groups and varied ethnic backgrounds, have no access to menopausal clinics and/or come from cultures where the topic may still be taboo. It will offer an international perspective and balanced and cross-generational view of the full spectrum of the menopausal experience from severe mental illness to fulfilling rebirth.
The event will be designed to simulate an initial visit at a menopause clinic and encourage women to seek information that befit their own unique and personal journey.
